Today our Environmental Science students got hands-on with the Cookie Mining Lab 🍪⛏️—learning how resource extraction impacts land, ecosystems, and decision-making. By “mining” chocolate chips, students explored real-world concepts like environmental cost, sustainability, and reclamation. Science is always better when you can eat the data!

UPDATE: With the current hazardous road conditions continuing through the night and lasting until tomorrow afternoon sometime, Latexo ISD is cancelling school tomorrow in the interest of our student and staff safety. School will resume Wednesday at the normal time. This will not affect our school calendar and students will not be required to make up these days.

Due to forecasted weather and icy road conditions in our area, Latexo ISD will be closed on Monday, January 26th. At this time, school is expected to resume on Tuesday, January 27th at normal time.
