Inspiring and empowering students through perseverance with a passion for success.
Please help us welcome Mrs. Karen Carlton to the Latexo Tiger family! 🐅💚🖤
Mrs. Carlton will be joining Latexo ISD as our new 8th Grade Math Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. With a lifelong love for mathematics and a passion for helping students succeed, she brings both experience and enthusiasm to the classroom.
Outside of school, she enjoys gardening, canning, mowing, and spending time with her grandchildren. We are excited for our students to learn from and build relationships with her this year!
Welcome to Latexo ISD, Mrs. Carlton — we’re glad you’re here! #ExcellenceIsTheTigerWay

🐅 It’s the FINAL WEEK of school, Tigers! 🐅
As we head into the last few days of the year, let’s finish strong by focusing on our Tiger Time character themes:
✔️ Positive Attitude
✔️ Stewardship
✔️ Excellence
Let’s leave it better than we found it, take pride in our campus, encourage one another, and show what it means to be a Latexo Tiger. The little things matter — helping others, staying organized, cleaning up, studying hard, and finishing with excellence.
Let’s make these last few days our best yet! 💚🖤

A Note from Mrs Patterson...
This is a very special group of young ladies. They have been with me every year since they were 8th graders…the last of the original group of students I had the first year I started teaching full time, and founding members of our Health Science Club. They received their Phlebotomy and EKG Certifications as Juniors and are now sitting for their Medical Assistant and Pharmacy Technician Certifications. I can’t wait to see all they will accomplish in their futures. So proud! 💚
