📚🐅 Back to School Reminders! 🐅📚

As we get ready for another great year at Latexo High School, here are a few important reminders for students and parents.

✅ Be on time! The tardy bell rings at 7:55 a.m. Students should be in their classrooms and ready to learn when the bell rings.

📵 Electronic Devices: In accordance with Texas law, students may not use cell phones, AirPods, Apple Watches, or other personal electronic devices during the instructional day. Please help us by ensuring these devices are POWERED OFF and PUT AWAY before the first bell.

👕 Dress Code: Please review the student handbook before the first day of school. A few reminders:
• Leggings, tights, and jeggings must be covered by a shirt, shorts, or dress that is fingertip length.
• Shirts must fully cover the midriff, even when arms are raised.
• Shorts and skirts must be fingertip length.
• Pants with holes above the knee must be fully patched.
• Pajamas, blankets, and house shoes are NOT permitted.
• Hats, caps, bandanas, hoods, and other head coverings are not permitted inside school buildings.

Working together to follow these expectations helps create a safe, respectful, and focused learning environment for everyone.

As we prepare to welcome our Tigers at Meet the Teacher tomorrow, our staff has been hard at work! Over the past several days, our teachers and staff have been attending professional development, collaborating with one another, preparing classrooms, and making final touches to ensure everything is ready for an amazing school year. Today, we also enjoyed spending time together during our district luncheon—a great opportunity to reconnect before the excitement begins.
