Dear LHS UIL Athletic Fans:
As the Basketball season approaches I want to share with you some of my expectations for all fans at LHS athletic events. I have already expressed my views to the students and now I want you to know about them too. Our athletes work hard to prepare for games and I have asked that we respect them by following these procedures:
- Do not get on the gym floor in the game area before, during or after a game. Our athletes need time and space to warm up and practice prior to the game.
- Stay seated in the bleachers except to go to the snack bar or the restroom. Our gym is small and too much movement could interfere with the game.
- Remember that UIL sports are governed by rules and regulations. We must all remember to use good sportsmanship. The officials’ decisions are to be honored even if we don’t always agree with the “Call”.
